A record-setting 58 Draft Leaguers were selected in the 2026 MLB Draft, officially joining the growing list of alumni within affiliated baseball. Amongst those already deep into their Minor League seasons, three top-ranked prospects within their organizations were considered to be the top performers over the past week across Minor League Baseball, highlighted by Peyton Olejnik claiming Northwest League Pitcher of the Week honors with a career best 10 strikeout performance.
Closing out the calendar week during the All-Star break, Miguel Sime Jr. took to the mound at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia for the All-Star Futures Game. The 2025 Trenton Thunder and Nationals' No. 17 prospect by MLB Pipeline got two outs, both via strikeouts, while also unleashing the fastest pitch of the game at 101.1 mph.
