After a pair of MLB Draft League alumni made their Major League Baseball debuts in late March and early April, the Chicago White Sox recalled a pair of former Draft Leaguers for their MLB debuts. On Thursday, April 10, Duncan Davitt (Mahoning Valley ‘22) became the third alumni to get the call and would make his MLB debut the following day with a scoreless inning.
Just five days later, Wednesday, April 15, Sam Antonacci (West Virginia ‘22) would arrive in Chicago, singled in his first at-bat, scored a run and made several plays on defense.
Another roster move at the MLB level came with Hayden Harris (Frederick ‘22) being recalled to the Atlanta Braves for his second stint at the Major League level. The Draft League’s alumni group continued to grow this week when Jason Shockley (State College ‘25) and Brendan Parks (Trenton ‘25) inked Minor League deals with the Baltimore Orioles.
While signings and promotions headline this week’s Alumni Report, the pitchers at the Minor League levels also dominated with 10 arms posting a 0.60 WHIP or better.
Below, we take you through everything you need to know about the MLB Draft League’s alumni group over the past week, including numbers on 10 pitchers and 10 positional players who stood out in the Minors.
