For the third time this year and second at the Double-A level, Ayers has received an MiLB Player of the Week honor. The Cubs’ catching prospect collected hits in all six Smokies games last week and had a pair of three hit games with a home run and double. In 27 plate appearances on the week, Ayers reached base safely in 17 of them.

Sprague-Lott’s Player of the Week campaign started with a three hit, two home run performance on Tuesday, June 2, setting the tone for the five-game stretch. The former Scrapper ended the week 11-for-21 with three home runs, a double, 11 runs scored, nine RBI and four walks. The utility infielder reached base safely in 16 of his 26 plate appearances. The hot start to 2026 earned Sprague-Lott a promotion to the High-A Lansing Lugnuts on Tuesday, June 9.
