Regular season schedules across all Minor League levels have concluded with the Double-A playoffs drawing to a close and the Triple-A postseason prepares to hand out some hardware. Several former Draft Leaguers are contributing to their team’s postseason success and this week’s Alumni Report highlights three of those positional players and seven pitchers.
Beyond the action on the field, the Double-A Awards were announced this past week, and four former players were named League All-Stars including Jonah Tong taking home the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year Award.

MiLB Awards/Honors
Jonah Tong’s stock has surged over the past 12 months and is racking up some Minor League honors while still holding steady in the Mets big league rotation. The former Frederick Key is one of three finalists for the MiLB Pitching Prospect of the Year (to be announced 9/29) and also received the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year Award. Closing out his Minor League awards, the Canadian was also an Eastern League All-Star.
Jack Wenninger made the jump to Double-A this summer and was dominant from start to finish, jumping all the way up to No. 13 in the Mets Prospect Rankings (MLB Pipeline). Wenninger’s 2.92 ERA and 147 strikeouts helped earn an Eastern League All-Star nod.
Mitch Bratt was the first player drafted and signed out of the MLB Draft League, going to the Rangers in the fifth round back in 2021, and he was moved to Diamondbacks at the deadline this summer in the Merrill Kelly deal. Another Canadian, Bratt pitched to a 3.38 ERA with a staggering 148 strikeouts to just 21 walks, earning a spot on the Texas League All-Star Team.
Shane Murphy put together a monster summer, owning a 1.66 ERA across three levels and walked just 15 over 135 1/3 innings. The bulk of Murphy’s work came in Double-A where he went 9-4 with a 1.38 ERA and ultimately landed on the Southern League’s All-Star Team.
