Trenton Tomato Pies

Debut: June 28, 2025

Our inaugural Capital Series uniform paid tribute to a local legend that has defined Trenton’s culinary identity for over a century: the Trenton Tomato Pie. We went straight to the source, partnering with the masters at De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies to learn the art of this unique creation. On the night we took the field, the aroma of authentic wood-fired tomato pies filled the concourse, creating a full sensory experience for our fans. The uniform is a celebration of this “sauce-on-top” tradition—a delicious and distinct testament to the city’s rich history.

Thunder Pork Roll

Debut: May 18th, 2018 | When they take the field: Fridays

New Jersey’s iconic breakfast meat, pork roll, is a point of pride and passionate debate across the state. Thunder Pork Roll pays homage to this beloved delicacy and the historic “Pork Roll vs. Taylor Ham” debate. The uniform features a playful, anthropomorphic pork roll character, complete with the signature slits cooked into the meat. The design was a celebration of a uniquely New Jersey food and the fierce regional loyalty that comes with it, proving that some debates are best settled on the field, not at the breakfast table.

Trueno de Trenton

Debut: June 1, 2019 | When they take the field: Select games

The capital city in New Jersey is home to a growing and wide range of Latino Heritage communities. Your Thunder take on their identity, El Trueno de Trenton - the purest form of Trenton’s home team. With vibrant colors highlighting the return of Strike, El Trueno will aim to represent the best of their city on the field. Special uniforms will be worn and other cultural elements will be presented throughout the ballpark.

Trenton Goldens

Debut: June 26, 2024 | When they take the field: Most Wednesdays

This summer's going to the dogs! This transformation celebrates the Thunder’s long and storied tradition of featuring Golden Retrievers as full-time batdogs, a first in all of baseball. It all started with Chase, then his son Derby, and now the legacy continues with Derby’s son Rookie and Rookie’s cousin Dash!
