With the inception of the Trenton Thunder in 1994 came a commitment from the organization to be a part of the community in which it was established.
The Thunder have lived up to this commitment with the Grand Slam We Care Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, which at the conclusion of the 2024 season had donated over $9.8 Million worth of goods, services, and monetary donations, through a variety of community programs.

The Thunder have partnered with NorthStar VETS to raise awareness for homeless dogs through our “Dog of the Day” program. Every home game, we showcase an adoptable dog on the field at Trenton Thunder Ballpark.

The Thunder collect tabs in the Front Office and Ballpark during the season to support Ronald McDonald House in Philly, which uses the funds to support families of children receiving essential medical care.

Each season, your Thunder team up with corporations to provide tickets to deserving non-profits as part of the Tickets for Kids Program. Through the generous efforts of these corporations and individual donors, over 68,000 children have enjoyed the Thunder Baseball Experience since 1996 who might not have ordinarily been able to do so. For each ticket plan purchased during the holiday season, the Thunder donate tickets back to local organizations.
