We wrapped up our annual S.L.A.M. (Supporting Local Admirable Missions) Week by celebrating a local organization that's making a real difference in Trenton: The HUB. It was a privilege to welcome some of their team to the field on Saturday to recognize their important work.

The HUB, which stands for Healing, Unity, and Belonging, is a collaborative effort between Creative Change Counseling Incorporated and the Mercer County Department of Human Services Division of Youth Services. Their team of professionals—including counselors, educators, and community leaders—works tirelessly to promote healing and positive change throughout our city. They specialize in offering trauma-informed services to help resolve conflicts and support people on their healing journeys.

We were honored to have several members of The HUB's team join us on the field, including Program Administrator Lakisha Adams, Creative Change Counseling and Executive Vice President Kahreem Cunningham, and HUB participant Gaige Cooley. We also welcomed CEO Dr. Bertee Thomas Jr., along with Amanda Franklin, Shawn Hackett, and Leyene Parkins.
The dedication of organizations like The HUB reminds us of the power of community. Their commitment to fostering a safe space for healing and growth is truly inspiring, and we are proud to shine a light on the incredible work they do for our community.
