Twenty MLB Draft League alumni named to MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 team rankings

NEW YORK -- Ahead of the 2025 MLB and MiLB season’s, 20 total prospects ranked on MLB Pipeline’s top 30 team rankings had made previous appearances in the MLB Draft League.

Broken down by each MLB Draft League team, five appeared in games for the Frederick Keys, two for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, three for the State College Spikes, two for the Trenton Thunder, two for the West Virginia Black Bears and six for the Williamsport Crosscutters. In the Major League organizations, the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants carry the most alumni within their top 30 with three prospects each. Amongst the individual prospects, 3B/1B Zach Dezenzo (Frederick ‘21, Mahoning Valley ‘22) ranks the highest as the Houston Astros’ No. 5 prospect after putting together a 2024 campaign that saw him become the league’s first alum to make his Major League debut and rising from where he ended the season at No. 6 on the rankings.

2024: 3B Robert Hipwell (Giants, No. 29)

Trenton Thunder

2022: RHP K.C. Hunt (Brewers, No. 25)

2023: RHP Carlson Reed (Pirates, No. 20)

2021: LHP Mitch Bratt (Rangers, No. 21)
