(Trenton, NJ) - Facing the harsh winter months can be especially difficult for those experiencing homelessness. This week, the Trenton Thunder front office staff stepped up to lend a helping hand, donating much-needed jackets and other winter clothing to the Rescue Mission of Trenton.

The Rescue Mission, a long-standing pillar of Trenton's social safety net, provides food, shelter, and support services to the city's most vulnerable residents. As winter arrives, coats, hats, gloves, and scarves help keep our neighbors who are struggling to keep warm through this long winter.

The Thunder's Front Office Staff, many of whom are lifelong area residents, were eager to support their community. “Our front office all got involved,” Director of Group Sales & Community Relations Casey Borish said, “as we all wanted to give back to our community during this holiday season.”

"We're all part of the same team here in Trenton," said Thunder General Manager Jeff Hurley. "And when one of our neighbors is struggling, we all need to step up and help. Providing these winter clothes is just a small way we can show our support for the Rescue Mission and the incredible work they do."

The donation comes at a crucial time, as the Rescue Mission prepares for an influx of individuals seeking shelter from the cold. With temperatures dropping, warm clothing is essential for preventing hypothermia and other cold-weather illnesses.

The Trenton Thunder's commitment to their community extends beyond the baseball field. The organization is dedicated to giving back to the city they call home, and their work with the Rescue Mission is just one example of their ongoing efforts to make Trenton a better place for everyone.
