It's a beautiful day for baseball here in Trenton, and there's nothing quite like the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and the smell of freshly popped popcorn. But sometimes, even on the most perfect days, our Trenton Thunder find themselves in a tough spot. That's when we turn to a mysterious hero, a whirlwind of energy who appears when we need him most.

When the Thunder are down to their last chance to come out on top as we head to the bottom of the 9th, a hush falls over the ballpark. Then, from out of nowhere, a blur of motion streaks across the outfield warning track. That's The Kernel! Named in honor of New Jersey's legendary sweet corn, The Kernel is our secret weapon, a force of nature who emerges only when our team needs an extra boost of Thunder Power. As he sprints from foul pole to foul pole, electrifying music fills the stadium, and the jumbotron lights up with our most enthusiastic fans on the fan cam.

The Kernel's mission is simple: to ignite the crowd and rally the team to victory! He's a mysterious figure, preferring to keep his identity under wraps, so don't expect any meet-and-greets or close-up photos. His magic works best from a distance, inspiring us all to cheer louder and believe stronger.
