Aberdeen (3) @ Williamsport (3) Sudden Death Extra Inning: BOX SCORE - The IronBirds opened up the second half in literal walk-off fashion in the sudden death extra inning. For the first four innings, both teams were held scoreless as Aberdeen’s Ethan Phillips struck out four through four scoreless and Williamsport’s David Case ended his night after six innings with seven strikeouts. Case would end his night with one earned run but held a 2-1 lead after James McCoy homered for the first time this summer to the opposite field in the fifth, followed by a Trevor Conley single. In the seventh, the IronBirds would get ahead as Brylon West doubled down the left field line to drive in two for a 3-2 lead. Williamsport would put across the tying run in the bottom of the ninth via sacrifice fly to force the sudden death extra inning. Patrick McCullough would start the frame on first base and advance to third on a Ryan Pruitt double. An intentional walk would load the bases for Brayden Simpson who would walk it off by drawing a walk. The free pass would be the IronBirds’ third walk-off victory that came via a ball four in the 2026 season.

State College (5) vs West Virginia (4): BOX SCORE - The Spikes’ rally in the later innings was capped off by the returning Trent Turner, walking-it off two batters into the ninth. Jackson Trout put West Virginia ahead in the second with the first run of the second half across the league on a single, followed up an inning later by Alec DeMartino going 404 feet to center (102.5 mph exit velocity) for the league’s first home run of the half. The Black Bears would extend their lead 3-1, setting up a heroic blast from Nyan Hayes in the bottom of the seventh with a three-run home run, tight roping down the left field line (369 feet, 97.7-mph exit velocity). In the ninth, Hayes would lead off the inning by nearly going yard for the second time, settling for a triple to set up Turner going the other way with two strikes the other way for the walk-off winner.

Mahoning Valley (12) @ Trenton (5): BOX SCORE - Mahoning Valley’s offense came through after a few defensive miscues, forcing some offensively for a five and four-run inning. Bryce Hubbard led the visitors with three RBI that came from a three-run double in the sixth. Behind him, two RBI came from Cooper Vance, who delivered a two-run single in the fourth and Jason Torres who drove in the opening run in the first, and scored Hubbard after his double. JuJu Stevens would lead the Thunder with two RBI and a run to go along with a triple for his one hit of the night. Closing out the night, Jake Abercrombie tallied a two-inning save for his first, allowing one hit, no runs, no walks and three strikeouts.

Nomura led off the inning with a ground-rule double before clearing the bases with a triple later on. Matching these two outputs was Ben Barrett of West Virginia, picking up three hits on two doubles while driving in two. This was Barrett’s third straight multi-hit game.
