
The 2025 edition of the Arizona Fall League enters its final two days with the semifinals set for Thursday and will conclude Friday afternoon when a champion is crowned at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
With the quarterfinal matchups wrapped up Wednesday, there are plenty of Draft League alumni to highlight for their regular season campaigns. Sam Antonacci’s 28 hits tied for the league lead while Owen Ayers’ .379 average was good for third. On the mound, Carlson Reed led the way with a 1.29 ERA (third) across four appearances and two starts.

Glendale Desert Dogs
RHP D.J. Carpenter (STL, Frederick ‘22):
Carpenter made one appearance this past week with a perfect eighth inning Friday, Nov. 7 in a 9-3 victory, earning himself his second hold of the Fall. Overall, the Cardinals’ 14th round pick in 2022 has made eight total appearances for six innings with eight strikeouts in the fall regular season.

LHP Jacob Kroeger (ATL, State College ‘24):
The former State College lefty also only appeared in the Nov. 7 game this past week where he went 1 2/3 shutout innings with three strikeouts to earn the win. At the end of the regular season, Kroeger finished 10th amongst all Desert Dog pitchers in WHIP at 1.77.

RHP Chen-Wei Lin (STL, Frederick ‘23):
The Cardinals’ No. 16 prospect by MLB Pipeline entered the final week of the regular season with Pitcher of the Week honors and was a selection to the Fall Stars Game (did not appear). Making one start this past week that led to becoming the second Draft League alumni to receive a Player of the Week honor this fall, Lin struck out five of the 10 batters he faced in three shutout innings, surrendering one hit and two walks. In five starts with Glendale, Lin ends the regular season tied for first in the AFL with three wins.

INF Sam Antonacci (CWS, West Virginia ‘22):
The White Sox’ 11th-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline played hero in the Fall Stars Game for the American League with two RBI, the second being a walk-off sacrifice fly in the ninth inning. In the first round of the playoffs, he recorded one hit, a double, and scored two runs as the Desert Dogs fell to Peoria, 8-7. In regular season action, Antonacci played in two games, including his fifth three-hit game where he recorded his third home run and scored three. Across the Fall League, the infielder finished first in runs with 24, tied for first with 28 hits fourth with 40 total bases, eighth in batting average (.378) and and 10th in OBP (.505). He also finished tied for eighth with 11 stolen bases.

Mesa Solar Sox
RHP Mark Adamiak (ATH, State College ‘22):
Adamiak did not make an appearance this past week for the Solar Sox who finished the regular season at 14-14. However, entering the playoffs, the Athletics’ prospect tied for first amongst all pitchers with two saves. In total, the right-hander finished four of the seven games he appeared in with seven strikeouts.

RHP Mason Auer (TB, Frederick ‘21):
The transitioned pitcher tossed a scoreless inning Monday, Nov. 10 with one strikeout and allowing one hit. In 5 1/3 innings in the Fall League, the Tampa Bay prospect has struck out seven batters.

RHP Corey Avant (ATH, State College ‘23):
Avant did not appear this past week but ended the regular season after putting up one of the better individual performances of the fall with a seven-strikeout performance Thursday, Oct. 9. Overall, the Athletics’ pitcher finished with 13 strikeouts in six total games (three starts).

LHP Jack Sellinger (MIA, Mahoning Valley ‘23):
The Marlins’ 2023 14th-round pick took to the mound two times this past week and struck out five of the nine batters he faced. On Friday, Nov. 7, he struck out three in a no-hit inning and then allowed one run on two hits Monday, Nov. 10, striking out two.

C Owen Ayers (CHC, State College ‘22):
Also named to the Fall Stars Game, the Cubs’ 19th rounder (2024) recorded a hard-hit single in the showcase and had a strong ending to the regular season with a 2-for-3 game with two RBI. In the AFL quarterfinals, the catcher propelled the Solar Sox to victory with a three-run home run for all the games’ runs. Overall, Ayers had one of the best fall performances, finishing as the leader in walks and top 10 in OBP (2nd), AVG (4th), TB (T-5th, 39), hits (T6th), OPS (7th), HR (T-7th), SLG (8th) and RBI (T-9th).

Peoria Javelinas
LHP Sayer Diederich (BAL, West Virginia ‘24):
On Monday, Nov. 10, the Orioles’ MiLB free agent signing recorded his lone save of the fall with a scoreless frame, striking out two. The outing marked the third consecutive game where he struck out multiple batters and fourth in his seven total appearances.

3B Charlie Pagliarini (SEA, Trenton ‘23):
Pagliarini had just missed out on being named to the Fall Stars Game via the Final 2 Vote but made a push with his third home run of the fall. In the first round of playoffs, the former Thunder recorded a hit and scored a run to help the Javelinas advance to the semifinal.

Salt River Rafters
RHP Joshua Loeschorn (PIT, Trenton ‘21):
Loeschorn, the Pirates 20th round pick in 2022, made two appearances this week for the Rafters and earned his first save Tuesday night in a 5-2 win for Salt River. The former Thunder right-hander posted a 2.86 ERA across 28 1/3 Minor League innings and reached Double-A for the first time in his career.

OF Stanley Tucker (BOS, Williamsport ‘23):
Tucker grabbed hits in three of his four regular season games this week, now up to 22 on the fall which is good for 15th in the Arizona Fall League. With another stolen base Tuesday, the Red Sox prospect now sits fifth in the Fall League with 13.

Scottsdale Scorpions
RHP Austin Amaral (WAS, Trenton ‘23):
The former Trenton Thunder right-hander was perfect this past week over two appearances, retiring all four batters he faced while striking out two. Amaral boosted his stock this summer with a 2.45 ERA across three levels and reached Double-A for the first time in his career.

1B Will Bush (HOU, State College ‘23):
Bush has flipped the script this month, breaking out offensively and reached base three times in two games (.375 OBP) this week despite not getting into the hit column. Coming through the Houston Astros pipeline, Bush batting .333 in November with a pair of extra-base hits.

OF Joseph Sullivan (HOU, Williamsport ‘23):
Sullivan’s impressive Fall League campaign continued this week, reaching base five times in two games and flashed his wheels on the bases with three stolen bases. Through 15 games, the former Crosscutter has reached base safely in all but one game.

RHP Nate Wohlgemuth (HOU, Williamsport ‘23):
Wohlgemuth, a free agent signee with the Astros this past summer, made two appearances this week for the Scorpions for a total of one inning.

SS Jeron Williams (HOU, West Virginia ‘21):
Williams, a participant in the inaugural 2021 MLB Draft League, put together one of his best weeks so far in the Arizona Fall League. In two games, the Astros infield prospect had a pair of RBI doubles and also added a walk, run scored and stole a base.

Surprise Saguaros
RHP Daniel Harper (PHI, State College ‘22):
The former State College Spike took the mound once this week in an 11-2 win for the Saguaros, pitching one inning while surrendering a run and picking up a strikeout. Harper's Minor League campaign saw him reach Triple-A for the first time, pitching 15 1/3 innings for Lehigh Valley.

C Ben Hartl (TEX, West Virginia ‘22):
Hartl, the Rangers 14th-round pick in 2024, appeared in a pair of games this past week and reached base once via the walk while also collecting a RBI.

RHP L.P. Langevin (KC, West Virginia ‘23):

Fall Stars Game/Weekly Award
INF Sam Antonacci (CWS, West Virginia ‘22): Slashing .394/.511/.563, Antonacci earned the start at second base for the American League. Despite going 0-for-2 with a HBP, the White Sox No. 11 prospect by MLB Pipeline provided the fireworks with a walk-off sacrifice fly in the ninth inning. Antonacci has been one of the league’s hottest hitters this fall and will head into championship weekend full of confidence.
C Owen Ayers (CHC, State College ‘22): Another one of the Fall League’s offensive giants, Ayers got the start behind the plate for the National League on Sunday. The switch-hitting catcher went 1-for-2 with a 98.4-mph single off Hagen Smith, an elite prospect on the other side of Chicago. Ayers’ stock has skyrocketed this fall, no longer an under-the-radar prospect within the Cubs confines.
OF Stanley Tucker (BOS, Williamsport ‘23): After missing the 2025 season due to injury, Tucker has made the most of his Fall League opportunity and entered the Fall Stars Game in sixth inning, taking over at second base for the American League. The Red Sox prospect and former Crosscutter went 0-for-2 in the AL’s 5-4 victory.
RHP Chen-Wei Lin (STL, Frederick ‘23): Lin, the Cardinals No. 16 prospect by MLB Pipeline, was named to the Fall Stars Game roster but was unable to pitch due to his start Thursday. That same start earned the former Frederick Key Arizona Fall League Pitcher of the Week honors with three innings of one hit ball, also striking out five on the day.
