Dear Fans:
On behalf of Major League Baseball, it is an honor to welcome you to the MLB Draft League’s 2026 season. As the Draft League enters its sixth season of play, it continues to make a mark on the baseball landscape by featuring talented players at vital points in their amateur and professional journeys. We are proud to provide an outstanding atmosphere for our communities, building on the momentum of the more than 585,000 fans who attended Draft League games across Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia last year.
MLB Clubs have taken notice of the talent in the Draft League since its inaugural season in 2021. More than 400 players have signed with MLB organizations, with 25 of the 30 MLB Clubs signing at least one Draft League player this past season. Many Draft League alumni have gone on to success in the pro ranks. This includes Jonah Tong of the New York Mets organization, who just last season joined the growing list of Draft League players who have reached the Major Leagues.
As we prepare for 2026, we are excited to deliver more memorable moments across the baseball community. The Draft League is very pleased to welcome the Aberdeen IronBirds, who call Ripken Stadium home. Additionally, building off the success of last season, our schedule will feature an international series with the Junior National Teams of both Mexico and Canada, continuing baseball’s growing global stature.
As all the teams of the Draft League help prepare players for their professional baseball careers, they remain committed to providing first-class family entertainment and a platform that bonds communities around our National Pastime. We look forward to the 2026 MLB Draft League season, and we thank you for being a part of it.
Sincerely,

Robert D. Manfred, Jr.
Commissioner of Baseball
