13U NC Champs Open with Action-Packed Day One

Standout performances highlight day one.

Jake Bryant was the spark behind ZT National Prospects 13U’s explosive offensive showing, putting together a dominant day at the plate. He opened the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning, followed it up with a two-run single in the second, and capped his outing with another clutch double in the third.

Bryant finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, consistently delivering in high-leverage spots to help ZT build a commanding lead. His bat set the tone for the team’s relentless attack.

Rylen Cabral stood out for Coastal USA National 13U, reaching base in all four of his plate appearances. He went 2-for-3 with a single, a triple, three RBIs, and a hit-by-pitch. His third-inning triple cleared the bases and ignited a big inning for Coastal. While he was thrown out on an earlier baserunning attempt, Cabral’s contact-heavy approach and timely hitting helped fuel his team’s offensive rhythm.

For PRD ‘30s 13U, AJ Ernesto and Jake Bryant led the charge in a complete team performance. Ernesto was a spark plug at the top of the order, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a run scored, and a walk, consistently setting the tone. Bryant stayed hot at the plate, matching his earlier outing with another 3-for-4 line, driving in four and scoring twice.

On the mound, Anthony Minyetty turned in a masterful start, tossing a six-inning complete game one-hitter. He gave up no earned runs, walked three, and struck out seven to stifle the opposing offense from start to finish.

Noah Burt made his presence felt on both sides of the ball for the Padres Scout Team 13U. Offensively, he sparked the lineup with a single, a triple, and a walk, driving in runs and crossing the plate twice. His aggressive baserunning kept pressure on the defense all game.

On the other side, Burt was active at third base, helping turn a key double play and staying involved in big defensive moments. Though a couple of miscues led to baserunners, his overall contributions were critical in keeping the Padres competitive.
