(PRO)

  • Continuing his already impressive season, CJ Abrams (2018 18U) is off to a good start in June. Hitting two homers this week against Miami and Arizona, Abrams' 49 RBIs are the most among major league shortstops, giving him an 11-RBI lead over second place.
  • Kyle Harrison (2019 18U) has been a dominant piece of the Brewers’ rotation this season. In his start against the San Francisco Giants on June 2nd, Harrison worked through 5.2 innings of one-run ball, only giving up four hits and striking out 12. His incredible start marks his second 12-strikeout performance since his dominant outing against Pittsburgh on April 26th.
  • Jack Flaherty (2013 18U) has been great in back-to-back starts to get June started. Working through 10 innings, Flaherty has allowed three earned runs and tallied 13 strikeouts. Totalling 77 strikeouts this year, Flaherty looks to build off his impressive outings and help the Tigers get back in the race for the division.
  • Brice Turang (2014 15U, 2016 & 2017 18U, 2026 WBC) started off June with a bang, recording a hit in each game so far this month and sporting a .407 batting average. In game two of the Brewers series against the Rockies, Turang launched two solo-homers en route to the 7-1 victory.
  • Pete Crow-Armstrong (2014 12U, 2017 15U, 2019 18U, 2026 WBC) has seen his batting hit another level. Since the start of June, PCA is 11-for-25, six RBIs, four home runs (including a two-homer game against the Giants), and four runs for the Cubs. He’s improved his batting average significantly, up to a .258 line and has smacked four of his 11 homers on the season in the past week.
  • Bryce Harper (2008 16U, 2009 18U, 2026 WBC) and the Phillies are on a roll to start June after sweeping the Padres and securing a series win over the White Sox. After splitting the first two games, Harper opened scoring for the Fightins with an RBI double and helped secure the 9-5 victory. The first baseman boasts a .940 OPS this month, recording six hits and five walks in six games.
  • Grant Taylor (2017 15U) has appeared in three innings to start June and has been nails for the White Sox. In two of his three innings against the Twins, Taylor allowed just one hit across 10 batters, striking out three and helping the Sox shutout Minnesota. In his lone inning versus the Phillies, Taylor struck out the side to cap off a 6-3 win, and picked up his second save. He reached 50 K’s on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.93.
  • Contributing heavily to the Milwaukee Brewers’ offense over the last week, Andrew Vaughn (2013 15U, 2017 CNT, 2018 CNT, 2019 Pro) hit .333 over 21 at-bats with three runs, seven hits, five RBIs, and a triple.

Milwaukee sits at the top of the NL Central with a record of 40-23.
  • Since the start of June, Ryan Vilade (2014 15U, 2016 18U) has been fantastic for the Rays. To begin the month, Vilade has notched a hit in all four games he’s appeared in, going 5-for-15 with five RBIs and a home run.
