(CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Trenton Thunder General Manager Jon Bodnar was honored Monday as the Outstanding Young Professional of 2024. The ceremony took place at the Merion in Cinnaminson during the Annual Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce Voices of Business Awards Ceremony.

Bodnar was named the sixth General Manager in Trenton Thunder's history in March of 2023. In his first year as GM, the Sponsorship and Ticket Department surpassed sales goals and increased the average attendance by 400 fans per game.

"I first want to congratulate my fellow recipients tonight," said Jon Bodnar. "It's an honor to be recognized next to so many community and business leaders."

Jon helped lead the organization during COVID. With the season canceled, the ballpark became an outside events venue for graduations, proms, dance recitals, and high school baseball. He was also instrumental in initiating community theme nights at the ballpark like Pride Night and Addiction Awareness Night.

"Jon Bodnar has risen through the ranks of the Trenton Thunder," said BCRCC Kristi Howell. "He found innovation during the COVID crisis, and became a resource for many of those that did not have proms or other specials events. Most importantly, Jon learned early that it's all about developing relationships."

Also in attendance Monday night were Senator Troy Singleton and Thunder partners ABC NJ, Deborah Heart & Lung Center, TD Bank, Radius 180, and Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ.
