Due to expected rain showers in the area throughout the weekend, the 2025 Happy Valley Hardball Classic scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park has been canceled.

“While Mother Nature changed our plans for this weekend, we appreciate the staff and teams from Bald Eagle Area, Bellefonte, State College and Mifflin County for coming together with us to coordinate this event,” said State College Spikes President & General Manager Scott Walker. "We look forward to working with these four outstanding programs to reschedule in the future.”

Fans who prepaid for parking for Saturday on the ParkMobile app will have their purchases refunded to the method used for payment.

The logo for the 2025 edition of the Happy Valley Hardball Classic, designed by Bald Eagle Area student Michaela Turner, after BEA earned the chance to design the logo as an additional privilege of winning the 2024 tournament championship, will carry over to the 2026 edition.

Medlar Field at Lubrano Park will host the 2025 PIAA Baseball Championships, featuring the championship games of all six classes, on June 12 and 13.

The next opportunity for Spikes fans to enjoy a free event at the ballpark in advance of the 2025 season will be SpikesFest 2025 presented by Mount Nittany Health from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 before Penn State’s 5:30 p.m. matchup that day against USC, with a spectacular FIREWORKS show presented by Starfire Corporation to follow.
