Thunder Fall to Scrappers in Final Pork Roll Friday of 2023

(Trenton, NJ) – The Thunder Pork Roll fell behind early to Mahoning Valley on Friday night, as they dropped the final Pork Roll Friday of the season and game one against the Scrappers by a score of 8-3.

Mahoning Valley couldn’t have asked for a better start in this one, tallying four runs off of five hits in the top of the first inning. They added one in the third and three more in the 5th inning to earn their largest lead of the night at 8-1. The Pork Roll bats did their best to chip away at the deficit, adding runs in their half of the third, sixth, and seventh innings to make it an 8-3 game. Taking home Hyatt Regency Princeton Thunder Player of the game honors was shortstop Jack Lynch who went 3-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

The Scrappers bats were led by second basemen David Bermudez who went 3-4 with a double, a walk, and scored three runs.
