TRENTON, N.J. – In a year dedicated to celebrating the 250th anniversary of American Independence, two of the most historic cities on the Delaware River are joining forces for a night of patriotic mayhem. The Trenton Thunder are proud to announce that the Phillie Phanatic—the undisputed "Founding Father of Fun"—will cross the river to visit Trenton Thunder Ballpark on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

“In 1776, Trenton and Philadelphia changed the course of history,” said Thunder President Jeff Hurley. “In 2026, we’re honoring that legacy with a slightly more chaotic crossing of the Delaware. Having the Phanatic here during our nation's Semiquincentennial season is the perfect way to celebrate the spirit of our region—loud, proud, and full of energy.”

The Phanatic arrives in Trenton having recently bolstered his "American Icon" status. Following his star-studded appearance at the 2024 London Series (where he taught the British a thing or two about mascot diplomacy), the Phanatic has been a fixture on the national stage, including recent features on MLB Network’s "Intentional Talk" and a guest spot on The Tonight Show, where he proved that his swivel-hips are a national treasure.

A Night of Liberty and Long Toils: In the spirit of a true colonial feast, the night features a lineup of promotions worth fighting for:

  • $1 Hot Dogs: Declare your independence from high prices with $1 hot dogs all night long, presented by Dietz & Watson.

  • Baseball Bingo: Exercise your right to win! Fans can play Baseball Bingo throughout the game, presented by Deborah Heart & Lung Center.

  • Tail Waggin’ Wednesday: Even the most loyal "royalist hounds" are welcome. Bring your well-behaved dogs to the park for a night of furry freedom, presented by NutriSource Pet Foods.

Enlist for the 2026 Season: Fans looking to secure their seats for the Phanatic’s appearance and all other 2026 home games won’t have to wait long. Single Game tickets are available now at www.TrentonThunder.com, by phone at 609-394-3300, or in person at the radius180 Box Office.
