(Trenton, NJ) – Get ready for some golden fun in the sun! Your Trenton Thunder, presented by NJM Insurance, are thrilled to announce a brand-new alternate identity for the 2024 season – The Trenton Goldens!
This limited-edition transformation celebrates the Thunder’s long and storied tradition of featuring Golden Retrievers as full-time batdogs, a first in all of baseball. It all started with Chase, then his son Derby, and now the legacy continues with Derby’s son Rookie and Rookie’s cousin Dash! These furry superstars even stole the show on ESPN’s E-60 in a special titled “The Family Business.”
Your Trenton Goldens will take the field for two special games this season, donning their exclusive jerseys:
At these games, not only will fans get to see the Thunder play in their Goldens uniforms, but they can also bring their own well-behaved canine companions for a day of baseball and doggy delights! Mark your calendars for these exciting tail-wagging events!
A Tradition Continues
“We’re incredibly proud of our unique batdog tradition,” said Trenton Thunder General Manager Jon Bodnar. “The Trenton Goldens are a chance to celebrate these beloved pups and the joy they bring to our ballpark. This is our first alternate identity since the wildly popular Thunder Pork Roll jerseys in 2018, and we can’t wait to see the Goldens light up the Trenton sky!”
