For the third straight week, the MLB Draft League has seen a former player make his Major League debut. Following in the footsteps of Nathan Church and Jonah Tong, Hayden Harris made his MLB debut Sept. 2 with one inning of work against the Cubs.
The MLB Draft League also had a sweep of the weekly Midwest League awards, with Deniel Ortiz winning Player of the Week and Ryan Birchard winning Pitcher of the Week.

Promotions
2022 Frederick Keys
Hayden Harris posted some of the best numbers among Minor League relievers this year and earned a promotion to the Atlanta Braves on Sept. 2. Harris made his debut the same day at Wrigley Field, working a clean seventh inning and became the 10th Draft League alum to make his MLB debut.
2025 Frederick Keys
Jake Hunter became the third player from this year’s second half to have his contract purchased by a Major League organization. On Aug. 29, the right-hander joined the Minnesota Twins after a strong month with the Keys, posting a 1.61 ERA over 22 1/3 innings with 31 strikeouts to six walks.

The MLB Draft League has found success in the MLB Draft through its first five seasons with 233 players drafted and another 180+ signing as free agents for more than 400 players placed in affiliated baseball.
