Williamsport, Pa. – With their 3-2 loss on Sunday, the Crosscutters win streak at home came to a close after winning their last eleven.

Aberdeen took the game’s first lead, scoring on a Owen Clyne RBI ground out to take a 1-0 lead against Guillory.
The Crosscutters were able to get that run back thanks to Kyle Schupmann’s second home run of the season. Schupmann lined a Finnegan Wall offering 339’ into the IronBirds bullpen to knot the game at 1-1.
Will Bartkowski took over of the mound in the top of the 4th inning, working around a lead off walk. Ben Tyron started an inning-ending double play to keep the game tied.
Nick Barone gave Williamsport their first and only lead of the game with a two-out RBI single to left, scoring Chris Stanfield. Barone’s fourth RBI of the year made it 2-1 Williamsport.
Bartkowski struggled with his command in the top of the 5th, loading the bases with three walks and was forced out of the game with one out in the inning.
Joseph Webb entered and in two pitches got Collin Priest to ground into an inning-ending double play, keeping the Cutters lead in tack. Webb would work a scoreless frame in the sixth inning before handing the ball off to Jacob Limas.
Limas would not make it through the 7th inning, allowing a pair of runs, including the go-ahead run. Limas would go on to suffer his first loss of the summer.
Cooper Dossett and Myles Meyer each worked an inning of scoreless relief, getting the game to the bottom of the 9th, with the deficit still sitting at one run.
Barone lead off the inning by drawing a walk against Jacob Crews. Barone stole 2nd base as Slaide Burd struck out for the first out and would advance to 3rd on a fly out by Kelly Robertson.
Crews then got Kyle Schupmann to fly out to center, ending the game with the tying run at 3rd base.
