
Williamsport, P.A. – For the fourth time this season, the Cutters were held off the scoreboard, falling in the series finale to the Thunder.
Mike Hansell suffered his second-straight tough outing at home, allowing six runs, four earned, on eight hits. The right-hander allowed one walk and a hit batter over three plus innings of work.
Jacob James was the first out of the bullpen in the top of the 4th inning, getting a double play versus the first batter he faced. Unfortunately, James would surrender two runs, both earned, on three hits before he could get out of the inning.
The Crosscutters bullpen was able to shut things down as Drew Clark, Jacob Hasty, Logan Berrier and Will Binder were able to combine to shutout the Thunder over the last five innings.
Clark was the only Cutters reliever to work multiple innings, striking out a pair in two innings.
For Binder, it was just his second outing on the mound, as he was able to work a scoreless 9th inning.
The Cutters offense collected four hits, striking out 14 times, tying a season-high in the loss.
Williamsport hits the road for four games, visiting West Virginia tomorrow night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
