The Williamsport Crosscutters 2026 season could go down as one of the most successful and exciting in franchise history.
It was a year that featured a season-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of Historic Bowman Field and ended with an MLB Draft League Championship, the Cutters second in the past three seasons.
The Crosscutters welcomed over 60,000 fans through the gates during the 2026 campaign, once again providing the region with affordable, family-friendly fun that has become a hallmark of Cutters baseball. The season featured a full slate of promotional nights, giveaways, special appearances, and postgame fireworks, highlighted by two drone shows, five fireworks shows and appearances by former WWE Superstar Enzo Amore and world-champion eater Joey Chestnut.
On the field, the Cutters captured the MLB Draft League’s first AND second half titles, a Draft League first, on the way to winning the 2026 Championship with a 5-3 win over the Aberdeen IronBirds. The squad ended the season with a record of 47-26. 3B Kyle Schupmann won the Cutters UPMC Crosscutters MVP Award and RHP Josh Willitts captured the Rankin Johnson Award as the top Cutters pitcher.
OF James McCoy topped the Draft League leaderboard in several offensive categories including RBI’s, on base percentage, slugging percentage, doubles, extra base hits and total bases. He tied for the league lead in homers with teammate Matthew Williams and finished second in batting average.
Beyond the diamond, the Crosscutters continued their strong commitment to the community. Through a variety of initiatives and partnerships such as the Cutters 5K, Dominican Plate Dinner and nightly 50-50 raffle, the organization donated over $75,000 to local charities and non-profits.
“Our goal each and every night is to help create great memories that fans can take home with them. Maybe it’s a big hit, a great catch, a fireworks or drone show, a laugh with family and friends, or maybe just a beautiful summer night at the ballpark.,” said Cutters Vice President of Marketing, Gabe Sinicropi. “We continue to be grateful for the support, passion, and loyalty of our fans and sponsorship partners.”
Planning will soon be underway for the 2027 season, which will mark the Crosscutters 30th season in Williamsport and the 35th for the franchise overall after arriving in Billtown as the Williamsport Cubs in 1994. Season ticket information, the 2027 schedule and details on promotions will be released in the coming months.
