Bellefonte native Scott Walker was named the third General Manager in State College Spikes history in January 2015 after previously serving as the club's Vice President of Sales. In his role, Scott is responsible for the Spikes' day-to-day business, financial and baseball operations and overseeing the club's front office staff.
Walker has led the Spikes' sales efforts since 2011, during which time the club has set numerous single-game attendance records and fostered strong relationships within the State College community and in communities across Central PA.
Scott joined the Spikes staff in January 2009 as the team's Director of Group Sales. He later was promoted to the positions of Director of Ticket Sales and Director of Corporate Sales before becoming Vice President of Sales in September 2012.
He serves the Centre Region as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Marketing Committee for Central Pennsylvania Convention & Visitors Bureau. Scott also devotes time to serving as Director of Coaches vs. Cancer of Penn State and as a committee member for the Mount Nittany Health Golf Classic. In addition, he is proud to be a member of the 2017 class of Leadership Centre County.
Prior to coming to State College, Scott spent two seasons with the Altoona Curve from 2007-08. He broke into professional baseball during the 2007 season as a Box Office Intern for the Curve and was elevated to a full-time ticket sales associate in 2008.
Scott is a 2007 graduate of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in sports administration.
A native of Pleasant Gap, PA and 2002 Bellefonte Area High School graduate, he currently resides in Lemont with his girlfriend Shannon. Scott also enjoys spending time with his two sons, Radley and Braxten. His numerous accomplishments on the basketball court include contributing to the Spikes hoops squad's BEA Adult Men's Basketball League championship. Scott also has the distinction of being the only two-time champion of the office Fantasy Football League championship, winning titles in 2010 and 2015.
