9-year-old Sid Thomas from State College, who started her MLB Pitch Hit & Run journey by winning the 10U Softball division at a local competition at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, took third place in the nation at the MLB Pitch Hit & Run Finals held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Sid scored 700 points in the finals as she took her cuts in the same Dodger Stadium batter's boxes that Aaron Judge, Freddie Freeman and Tommy Edman did at the previous night's Game 2 of the World Series and was able to throw and run on the same hallowed baseball field.

After qualifying by winning at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park in June, Thomas took the Pirates Team Championship at PNC Park by storm in August, with her score of 940 points, good for the fifth-best across the country, punching her ticket to the Finals.

Prior to competing in the Finals, Sid was honored during Game 2 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium along with the other Team Champions across all eight divisions.

Congratulations, Sid!
