Sid Thomas, a nine-year-old from State College, will look to take a journey from Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to PNC Park to a potential national championship as she represents the Pittsburgh Pirates at the 2024 MLB Pitch Hit & Run Finals in the 10U Softball division this weekend.

After qualifying by winning the local competition at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, Thomas took the Pirates Team Championship at PNC Park by storm in August, with her score of 940 points, good for the fifth-best across the country, punching her ticket to the Finals.

Sid will now be honored during the World Series at Dodger Stadium along with the other Team Champions across all eight divisions before competing in the MLB Pitch Hit & Run Finals on the same field against 30 other Team Champions in the 10U Softball division.

Good luck to Sid Thomas at the MLB Pitch Hit & Run Finals!
