
The MLB Draft League announced its Second Half All-Draft League Team, headlined by a trio of pitchers who had their contracts purchased and six players from West Virginia’s championship team.
The Second-Half All-Draft League Team includes two catchers, five infielders, four outfielders, two utility players and 11 pitchers.
Catchers
C Jaden Collura, State College - Collura placed himself in MLB Draft League history by ending the regular season with a 21-game hit streak. After two games with Trenton, the catcher was placed with the Spikes and ended the second half with the ninth-best batting average of .329 (.336 with State College) and tied for ninth with 47 hits. During his hit-streak, Collura went 32-for-86 (.372) with eight multi-hit games.
C TJ Racherbaumer, Williamsport - Racherbaumer blended an ability to get on base and elite defense for the Crosscutters. Amongst the second half, he ranked seventh in on base percentage and third on the team (.429). Behind the dish, Racherbaumer led all second half catchers by throwing out 16 of 60 base stealers for the lowest stolen base rate of .754.
Infielders
IF Cam Hassert, Frederick - The Keys’ shortstop was an all-around presence at the plate with his ability to drive the ball and show plate awareness. Across the second half, he led the league in walks (38) and doubles (14) while finishing second in extra base hits (18), total bases (77) and runs (38). Hassert’s slash line ranked top 10 in the league as well with a .329 batting average (eighth), .468 on base percentage (fourth) and .487 slugging percentage (fourth), while his .955 OPS ranked third in the league. His 30 RBI tied for fifth as well with Trenton’s John Schroeder.
IF Connor Maryniak, Trenton - One of the most recommended players in the latest Prospect Report to make the jump to affiliated ball, Maryniak ranked top 10 in seven different categories amongst the second half. Slashing .331/.425/.466 (seventh/eighth/ninth) with an OPS of .891 (eighth), the Thunder shortstop ranked third with four home runs, 54 hits and 76 total bases.
IF Carson Hornung, Mahoning Valley - After appearing in three games during the first half, Hornung made light work at the plate following the draft as the league’s leader in RBI with 35. The first baseman showcased some of the league’s best plate discipline behind Hassert as he tied for second with 31 walks which combined with his 48 hits (seventh), placed him ninth with an OBP of .423. He also tied for sixth in XBH (14) and total bases (69).
IF Jared Beebe, Trenton - Tied for seventh with Hornung in hits at 48, Beebe collected his knocks in bunches with 16 of 46 games featuring multi-hit performances. The Trenton infielder also slugged three home runs to help result in ranking ninth in runs (29) and total bases (66).
IF Patrick Roche, Mahoning Valley - Roche was productive from start to finish for the Scrappers, providing offensive production and steady defense at shortstop. The Boston College alum was hot out of the gate, picking up three hits and three RBI in the second half opener. Roche slashed .315/.402/.377 with one home run, six doubles, 17 RBI and 25 runs scored.
Outfielders
OF Jackson Mayo, Williamsport - Returning after clinching the 2024 first half with the Crosscutters, Mayo was one of the top bats in the league. His leading 61 hits across the entire summer set a Williamsport-MLB Draft League record for most in a season, finishing first as well in total bases (85) and runs (39). The outfielder also had a top 10 slash of .357/.434/.497 (third/sixth/second) with a .931 OPS (sixth). Contributing to the second-best SLG, Mayo finished second in doubles with 13 and third in total extra base hits with 17.
OF Alex Ungar, West Virginia - During the second half of the 2025 season, Ungar was one of the leaders in blending all offensive tools to help lead West Virginia to their third MLB Draft League title. Ungar’s 19 extra-base hits, including four home runs, helped him lead the league in slugging percentage at .522. The Black Bears outfielder also finished top five in the league in OPS (.934), stolen bases (24), doubles (13) and home runs (4).
OF Chase Nixon, Mahoning Valley - Nixon was the catalyst of the Scrappers offense in the second half with a combination of power and feel to hit, batting .351 with 15 extra-base hits over 41 games. Nixon walked 32 times compared to 20 strikeouts and his OPS of .950 ranked fourth in the second half. In other metrics, Nixon finished top five in hits (52), average (.351), total bases (71), doubles (13), walks (31) and OBP (.470).
OF Cameron Yuran, Trenton - The Thunder led the second half in hits and runs scored and Cameron Yuran was a key part in the offensive output. Yuran’s .348 average and .446 OBP were good for fifth in the league. A slash line of .348/.446/.455 led to a .901 OPS, making Yuran one of just seven players with an OPS above .900.
Utility
UTL Jace Rinehart, West Virginia - After a slow start to the second half, Rinehart turned things around in August and led the league with a .391 average, thanks to a 21-game hit-streak. Rinehart was batting just .204 when the streak began and hit .488 the rest of the way with 13 multi-hit games during that stretch. Rinehart also finished second in OPS (.964) with a slash line of .391/.475/.489.
UTL Max Mandler, Williamsport - Mandler played just 30 games but he made the most of it, leading the second half in OPS (.990) and finishing second in average (.390). His OBP of .520 led the league by 45 points and he walked (26) far more often than he struck out (15). Mandler also provided some versatility for the Crosscutters, playing 70+ innings at first base, third base and in right field.
Pitchers
LHP Colton Cosper, Williamsport - Cosper was the first Pitcher of the Week in the second half and just 12 days later he had his contract purchased by the New York Mets. The left-hander made three starts and had an impressive 0.53 ERA over 17 innings of work. Cosper filled up the zone, allowing just one walk while striking out 20, leading to a 0.83 WHIP. The former Crosscutter is moving quickly with the Mets, already making a pair of appearances with Triple-A Syracuse.
RHP Griffin Green, Frederick - Green was the MLB Draft League’s second player to have his contract purchased when he joined the Cincinnati Reds on Aug. 3. Green had seven one-inning appearances for the Keys and allowed just two hits and a .083 BAA. The former Wake Forest right-hander pitched to a 2.57 ERA and struck out 11 while walking five.
RHP Jake Hunter, Frederick - Hunter was the third and final contract purchased, joining the Minnesota Twins on Aug. 30. Hunter made six appearances in the first half for the Keys but really came alive in the second half as a full-time starter. The right-hander made seven starts in the second half and prior to joining the Twins, was top 10 in the league in win% (t-first), strikeouts (second), innings (tied-fourth), ERA (sixth), WHIP (sixth) and BAA (seventh). Hunter was 3-0 with a 2.23 ERA and 46 strikeouts to just nine walks.
RHP Cameron LeJeune, West Virginia - LeJeune was arguably the most dominant reliever in the second half and owned a 0.67 ERA over 14 appearances and 27 innings. Along with a 4-0 record, the Black Bears reliever struck out 30 and walked nine, along with a WHIP of 0.96 and BAA of .177. LeJeune closed out his summer earning the win for West Virginia in the Championship, working two innings, and he allowed just one hit, one walk and struck out three.
LHP Michael Quevedo, State College - Quevedo was one of league’s most dominant arms in the second half and his 1.53 ERA was the best amongst starters. Quevedo was 3-0 over six starts and seven appearances and was one of just two starters with a sub-1.00 WHIP (0.99). The Spikes left-hander struck out 40 over 35 1/3 innings and his BAA of .182 also led starters in the second half.
RHP Joe Steeber, West Virginia - Steeber was another big weapon out of the Black Bears bullpen. His .153 BAA and 0.82 WHIP both led the league in the second half. Steeber pitched 2 1/3 innings over 12 appearances and had a 1.48 ERA with 35 strikeouts to five walks. The right-hander went 2-0 and picked up one save in West Virginia’s championship run.
RHP Carter Holjes, State College - Holjes had a strong first half out of the Spikes bullpen and carried that momentum into the second half as a starter. Holjes made five starts over eight appearances and pitched to a 2.57 ERA over 35 innings while striking out 50. The Spikes right-hander’s 1.11 WHIP and .209 BAA helped him earn the start in the Championship Game.
RHP Jason Bollman, West Virginia - Bollman was an absolute workhorse for the Black Bears in the second half, leading the league with 57 1/3 innings which was 11 1/3 innings more than the runner-up. Bollman was a two-time Pitcher of the Week and came one out away from a perfect game on Aug. 15, ultimately twirling a complete-game two-hitter. The former Oklahoma Sooner struck out 54, walked 18 and pitched to a 4.55 ERA. Bollman was also the first arm out of the bullpen for West Virginia in the Championship Game.
RHP Wes Burton, West Virginia - Burton pitched just 11 2/3 innings for West Virginia and possessed the best strikeout rate in the league (55.1%). The strikeout numbers were quite impressive with 30 strikeouts, averaging more than two per inning, and he walked just nine hitters. His four saves also led the league and he owned a 1.54 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and .200 BAA.
RHP Jack Hagan, State College - Of the 16 pitchers who made 15+ appearances in the second half, Hagan’s 2.08 ERA and 0.88 WHIP were both the best. The 0.88 WHIP was also second overall in the league and his batting average against of .175 was third overall. The right-hander was a go-to arm out of the Spikes bullpen and worked 21.2 innings while striking out 13.
RHP Brad Rudis, Williamsport - Rudis was predominantly a reliever for the Cutters in the first half and became the league’s strikeout leader in the second half as a starter. The former Texas A&M Aggie broke the Crosscutters strikeout record with 69 between the first and second half. Rudis made nine second half starts, working 46 innings (tied-second) and struck out 55. His 3.13 ERA was good for fifth in the second half and he also carried a 1.22 WHIP.
